So....you would like to know a little bit more about the person who created Daniel Brocklebank Online. Well, my name is Jessica and I am 29 years old. I have been online since 1995 and have had multiple web sites for 10 years (I must thank my online friend Garrick for helping me out with my first site so long ago).

I have always been fascinated with the Internet and how people use it. I actually wrote my graduate thesis about fans on the Internet (how they use it and what they get from it).

Besides liking to play around on the Internet, I love watching movies with my friends. Over the past few years I've gotten into collecting autographs which has been a great deal of fun. I admire the talents of so many people. I love being able to write to them to show my support. Let's see, I what else can I say, I like Ewan McGregor (Shallow Grave is a favorite), I really enjoyed Lord of the Rings (I grew up listening to the books on tape in the car during family vacations). I like listening to Incubus, Fuel, the Young Dubliners, and I love most anything by Harry Connick, Jr. (About the only kinds of music I really don't listen to are country and rap).

Why did I create the DBO? Well the site didn't start out as one for Daniel. Originally it was a site for a bunch of little-known and under-appreciated actors, but eventually, other people created web sites for some of those actors that had much more detail than mine did. Plus, I kept changing around which actors I featured. It was fun for awhile. But since my section about Daniel kept growing, I decided to turn it into something dedicated exclusively to Daniel.

I first saw Daniel on television while watching Merlin. I really like the Arthurian legend so I tuned in to watch it and was immediately impressed by Daniel. I was unable to find out much of anything about him anywhere so I started collecting bits and pieces from different sites. I was happily surprised to see him in Shakespeare in Love. Then one day when I has hunting for an address to write to another British actor, I found out that Daniel was represented by the same agency. I wrote to him and was excited when he sent me a signed picture and a letter. It wasn't until almost a year later that I received my first e-mail from Daniel. The site has been up for 7 years and I still love working on it and finding out more information about Daniel and his career. It has been a wonderful experience.

Well, if you ever wanted to know who was behind The DBO, this is me with Daniel.
